Quality Engineer Thermo Chemical Department
Join Schunk Xycarb Technology B.V. in Helmond, one of the leading global suppliers providing a complete range of advanced consumable products and related technology services for the Semiconductor-, LED- and Solar Industries. The organization offers integrated packages for Quartz, Graphite and Advanced Technical Ceramic products.
The aim of the QA department is to guarantee and improve the quality of all activities of SXT. In this position you are jointly responsible for the continuous improvement of products and processes and for monitoring operational product and process quality. The production processes within Xycarb include both machine and process engineering operations. In this position you work within the Thermo Chemical Department and you report to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Your tasks:
- Collect, analyze and record product quality problems
- Make quality problems visible at both product and process level, you propose solutions for this (both preventive and corrective) and you implement these
- Participate or lead improvement teams to solve (complex) quality problems, for example with the help of Lean Six Sigma or 8D
- Qualify production staff on the assessment of products
- Periodically report the quality performance of the relevant department
- Analyze customer complaints and provide reports for the customer
- Make proposals with regard to measuring device designs
- Independently perform analyzes on collected data and you derive an effective action plan from this
- Support other Quality Engineers for example in the context of customer audits or in the area of measurement reports
Your profile:
- You are in possession of a completed relevant HBO education, for example Chemical Technology, supplemented with quality courses
- A few years of experience in a comparable position
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is an absolute plus
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience with 8D, FMEA, SPC, Control plans, MSAs, Capability studies
- Experience in working with an ERP system (preferably SAP) and good computer skills
- You master both the Dutch and the English language in speech and writing
- You can use measuring instruments and read drawings
- You are committed, you take responsibility and you are result-oriented
- You have strong communication skills and can work independently
