About your role
The Engineering Department is responsible for the Quartz Process Technology Development – creating, developing, documenting, refining, improving, and extending the skills, efficiencies, technologies, processes, and quality related to quartz fabrication.
You will lead and manage our teams for Project Engineering, Automation and Manufacturing Engineering.
As the Manufacturing Engineering Manager you are part of a project aiming to create a new greenfield factory. This major investment will significantly increase our American capacity, securing our business growth as well as allowing our division to be one step ahead in our ambition. This new factory will be the heart of our manufacturing network for specific products, targeting highly sensitive technology processes. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will be an integral part of the development of our future equipment and automation systems.
This is a highly visible position that reports directly to the Managing Director.

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for directing engineering projects and efforts on new and existing equipment, products, and procedures to meet customer and company requirements. 
This position is accountable for the supervision, capabilities advancement, procedural development, training, and expansion of the engineering department.  
 
What you will be doing? 
 
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Directs and manages projects, funds, and resources in the engineering department and provides leadership for day-to-day department activities and long-term goals
  • Responsible for the planning, execution, and reporting of all engineering projects to ensure effective execution of projects and utilization of engineering resources to meet specific timelines
  • Develops and supports work instruction, cross cards, the needs of manufacturing capabilities and procedures for production in the plant
  • Accountable for the development of annual department plan, engineering roadmap and annual investment plans in consultation with the relevant departments for new installations and carrying out project management related to implementation
  • Monitor and continuously improve production processes, the reliability of the process equipment and develop future automation and equipment projects supporting the specification of investments
  • Responsible for the development and training of team members and enabling the work by reviewing, coaching, providing feedback, problem-solving, and removing roadblocks
  • Manages the HR related issues such as conducting performance & assessments reviews, work scheduling, advice on promotion and participate in the decision-making process on recruitment, dismissal etc.
  • Provides leadership in process development and moving the company forward with technological advances
  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with quality, health, safety and the environment (QESH) procedures
What will you bring? 
The right candidate for this position will have:
  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Degree or higher education is required
  • 8 years of engineering experience including minimum 5 years of experience in leading projects/ management role
  • Experience in semiconductor design and manufacturing is preferred
  • Exceptional collaboration and teamwork skills; demonstrated ability working across functional and organizational boundaries
  • Exceptional demonstrated experience in leading large-scale projects
  • Demonstrated capability to partner with purchasing to establish and execute commercial strategies and negotiation of contracts
  • Strong problem-solving skills, demonstrated ability to analyze and diagnose systemic issues
  • Care about coaching and growing Engineers in your team and adherence to quality, health, safety, environment and government regulations
  • Strong demonstrated written and verbal communications skills in English required
