CMM Programmer
Within the Launch team, you are one of the experienced programmers when it comes to Hexagon and Zeiss measuring machines. What are your main responsibilities?
The Launch team is responsible for the time-to-market of new products. The department operates in the triangle between our high-tech customers, engineering and production. The Launch team is a team that prepares, organizes and coordinates activities required for efficient implementation of products in production. The team consists of programmers for 3D measuring machines, CAM programmers for milling and turning machines. In this position you will report to the team leader Launch Team and work at the production facility in Helmond.
As a CMM Programmer, you will create measurement programs and prepare work instructions so that planned products can be measured according to customer specifications, time and budget.
Your duties and responsibilities include:
- Creating measurement programs for 3D measuring machines according to customer/product specifications;
- As a CMM Programmer, you will be responsible for testing and validating in-house measurement programs in the production department;
- Determine the measurability of NPI products including the required measuring instruments and fixtures;
- Releasing CMM programs
- Advising Quality Engineering on measurement frequencies and measuring instruments;
- Preparation of customer specific measurement reports (FAI) in cooperation with Quality Engineering;
- For new products, the CMM Programmer consults with Product Engineering and Quality Engineering to ensure that the product has been measured correctly and has the correct paperwork;
- Optimization of measurement programs during ramp-up to volume production.
- Correctly managing the database with measurement programs (revision management).
- Feasibility of the set measurement times.
- Training “buddies”.
What are your skills?
- An MBO+ or college education in mechanical engineering or similar;
- Knowledge of 3D measuring techniques, GD&T, and measuring instruments;
- Experience with ZEISS and or Hexagon CMM machines with the "software package" Calypso and or PC-DMIS ;
- Several years of relevant practical experience in a similar position in a production environment and a sound knowledge in the field of mechanical measuring techniques;
- A good command of the Dutch and/or English language (written and spoken).
- Knowledge and experience with GD&T principles
- Knowledge of Ms Office
- Knowledge of machining techniques
