For the Resource & Development (R&D) team within Schunk Xycarb Technology we are looking for a
Lab coordinator
For 40 years, Schunk Xycarb Technology has specialized in consulting, development, and production of integrated packages for quartz, graphite and advanced technical ceramic products. For example, Schunk Xycarb Technology makes extremely accurate wafer carriers from ceramic-coated graphite that are used in the production of both computer chips and LEDs.
What will you do?
It is very important that you have the overview of the work in the lab to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. But also you are willing to help your colleagues with their questions by providing and assessing analysis proposals and performing analysis yourself. You also make test rigs or set up experiments. Other tasks are:
- Support global production and quality departments in regular analysis as well as in escalations;
- As R&D team member participate in engineering activities and projects;
- Ensuring order and tidiness and preventing dangerous situations using 5s methodology;
- Chair the laboratory planning meeting & supervise communication to clients;
- Take care of timely equipment maintenance, calibration and training;
- Secure the collected data, results and reports in the automated system;
- Process measured data with the available analysis software in consultation with the applicant and/or the responsible R&D Engineer;
- You want to keep the lab safe with work instructions, regulations and safety descriptions.
What do you offer?
As a Lab coordinator you need to have good communication skills, you need to supervise a team and stay in contact with the organization. Other skills you need:
- Bachelor degree applied science; Chemical / (Applied) Physics
- You have experience with 5s and 6 sigma;
- Experience with analyses methods and equipment;
- Good Dutch and English oral and writing skills;
- Experience with Quality, safety and environment regulations.
