Your tasks:
  • Lead a dedicated team of Quality Engineers and Quality Technicians. Plan and divide the work, monitor progress and make adjustments when necessary. Analyze and take measures to bring shortcomings in the skills of the Quality team in line with the high expectations of the organization. Co-draft the departmental annual plan and the departmental budget and monitor the adopted departmental budget.
  • Set up and maintain the quality management system in accordance with the International Organization for Standardization 9001 (ISO 9001). Promote the Quality Management System as a proactive role, within the Management team and throughout the plant. Responsible for local certification and compliance per Quality Standard ISO 9001-2015. Advise management on possible shortfalls or improvements relating to the quality management system.
  • Implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment. Collaborate departmentally on continuous improvement activities including new technology, procedural changes to improve process and/or equipment. Manage the quality operations covering product qualification, scrap reduction, process optimization, complaint handling, change management and auditing.
  • Generate scorecards and reports for all aspects of plant quality, not limited to and including Voice of the Customer (VOC), Corrective Action Requests (CARs), Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs), Certificates of Analysis (COAs), Statistical Process Control (SPC) reporting, losses, internal, and third party & customer audits. Set up, maintain and update customer-orientated specifications in respect of systems and procedures.  Handle customer complaints in accordance with set procedure. Communicate with customers during conference calls and audits. Prepare reports on product/process quality.
  • Give advice on manufacturing processes and working methods relating to quality. Participate in the New Product Introduction process and ensure the implementation of the Quality Core Tools: Advanced Product Quality Planning, (APQP), Control Plan, Production Plan Approval Process (PPAP), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and 8 Disciplines (8D). Participate in global Quality, Environmental and Safety & Health projects (QESH) with a regional, global scope.
  • Position requires 6 weeks of domestic and international travel per year.
Your profile:
Applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field plus 5 years of experience in a quality role as an Quality Engineer, Quality Manager, or related. Experience must include:
  • 5 years of experience in stakeholder management and leading a diverse team in the automotive or semiconductor industry  
  • 5 years of experience using problem solving and quality core tools: Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process Control (SPC) & 8 Disciplines (8D)
  • 5 years of experience in the automotive or semi-conductor processing field managing internal quality performance, supplier quality related issues, customer complaints and new product introduction
  • 5 years of experience in International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards and Quality Management System
  • 3 years of experience in the automotive or semi-conductor processing field interacting with external customers to solve quality related issues (i.e. customer complaints). 
All education, training and experience may be gained concurrently. Must pass a drug test and background check prior to hire.
